say hello to the nike turbospeed track suit, set to make its debut at the olympic games. nike claims that turbospeed will improve 100m dash times by .023 seconds - that is a BIG deal.
here’s some perspective for you: usain bolt won the gold medal for the 100m dash at the 2008 olympic games but couldn’t beat the world record. the next year, usain bolt set the world record by running 100m in 9.58 seconds…his time was .023 seconds faster than when he won an olympic gold medal. yikes.
